About Me
Strong people are harder to kill, and more useful in general. - Mark RippetoeAbout Me
Hi! My name is Michael and this is my health and fitness blog.Things about me:
- I put my faith and Jesus first!
- I love and respect my wife beyond measure.
- I am blessed to be a father. Twice!
- I’ve lived a full life, but I am not finished yet!
- I get to be creative, and challenged intellectually everyday in my job.
- I’m Canadian eh
But year over year, I started to let things (and myself) go. I quit working out, I started to eat poorly and my body and mindset suffered. I would catch myself and start to take steps to get back in shape only to give up and return to my bad habits. I was stair-stepping my way down through middle age and into an unhealthy lifestyle and ill-health.
Finally, I just couldn’t take it any more. I’ve started rebuilding myself from the ground up. This blog is my way of staying focused, motivated and accountable to my health, to my fitness and to myself.
So what’s this Harder To Kill Stuff about?
I’ll be the first to tell you that life is tough. There are things out there that can really harm you. And I’m not just talking about lions, tigers and bears; or things that can physically kill or injury you. I’m talking about being injured mentally, emotionally or spiritually. For me, in order to be the best version of myself, I need to be operating at the highest level with my body, mind and spirit. I just think that doing so makes a person “harder to kill” and able to handle whatever life throws at you.Affiliate Links
Ok, I just want to get this out in the open. Throughout this site, there may appear an affiliate link or two. It might be for a book I’ve read that I thought was really good, or a workout program that I’ve tried and had good results with, or a supplement that I am taking that I think is pretty good. Rest assured that I will only recommend something that I have tried and that is working for me. I am not in the business of ripping people off, and I am not one of those shady internet scammers. If you decide to purchase the item through my affiliate link, great! I really appreciate it as it helps with the time and effort I put into the site. If you decide you liked my recommendation but purchase the item elsewhere, great! I am always glad to help out and answer any questions you may have. No matter what. What’s Next?
